Editorial Policy

Last updated: 14 March 2026

CricHubb is a cricket publication operated by Mantlers. This page explains how our coverage is produced, sourced, fact-checked, and corrected. It is the answer to the question: "Who is behind this, and how do I know I can trust it?"

Who we are

CricHubb is published by the CricHubb Intelligence Desk, the editorial group inside Mantlers responsible for everything that appears on crichubb.com. The Intelligence Desk is a small team of cricket-literate editors and writers based in Hyderabad, India, working alongside a custom internal publishing platform called CricHubb Prism.

Coverage on CricHubb is structured into named editorial surfaces, each with its own remit: Flash (short news), Pulse (talking points from cricket conversation), Lens and Margins (on-field analysis and off-field phenomena), Digest (daily and weekly recaps), Match Reports (post-match coverage), and Hubb / profile pages (player and team analysis).

How a story gets made

Every piece of editorial content on CricHubb follows the same pipeline. (1) Sourcing: we draw from publicly available sources — official cricket boards, established outlets (ESPNcricinfo, Cricbuzz, Wisden, Reuters, The Hindu, Times of India, the major newswires), match-data providers, and public social-media conversation from verified expert and journalist accounts. (2) Drafting: our editors use AI tools, including large language models, to assist with research, summarisation, clustering, and first-draft writing. (3) Review: every published item passes through editor review against our quality rubric before it is published. (4) Publish: items are timestamped, attributed to the Intelligence Desk, and link back to their primary sources where available.

We do not impersonate other journalists or publications. Where our writing voice is influenced by a style of cricket writing, it is influence — not imitation, and never attribution.

Use of AI

CricHubb is transparent about its use of AI. Our editorial workflow uses large language models for tasks including: clustering related stories, drafting summaries, generating talking-point candidates, drafting commentary text, and producing first-draft analysis. AI is a research and drafting tool inside our process — not a replacement for editorial judgement.

Every piece of editorial content is reviewed by a human editor before publication. Editors check the piece against its source material, remove unsupported claims, rewrite passages that read as paraphrase, and either approve, revise, or kill the item. The CricHubb byline, "CricHubb Intelligence Desk", indicates that an item has cleared this human-review step.

No personally identifiable user data is sent to any AI provider as part of content generation. AI is used on public-source material only.

Sourcing and attribution

Where a fact, quote, or claim originates from an external source, we link to or name that source. Tweets and social posts are attributed to the account that posted them. Statistics are drawn from official scoring data and named data providers. Direct quotations are only used where the original speaker is on the public record.

We do not fabricate quotes. We do not invent statistics. We do not pass off rumour as confirmed fact. If a story is based on a report from another outlet, we say so.

Corrections

CricHubb takes accuracy seriously. If you find an error in our coverage — a wrong statistic, a misattributed quote, an outdated claim, anything — please email crichubbhelp@mantlers.com with the URL of the piece and a brief description of the issue. Corrections are reviewed by the Intelligence Desk and applied to the piece within 48 hours of confirmation, with a note recording the change.

Significant corrections are noted at the bottom of the corrected item. Minor typo fixes are made silently.

Independence and conflicts of interest

CricHubb is editorially independent. We do not accept payment in exchange for coverage. Sponsored content, when published, is clearly labelled as such and is separated from editorial coverage.

Mantlers, our parent company, does not own or operate any cricket franchise, team, broadcaster, or rights-holder. Where an editor has a personal or professional connection to a person, team, or organisation we are covering, that editor is recused from the relevant coverage.

What this page covers and what it does not

This policy covers CricHubb editorial content. It does not cover user-submitted content (forum posts, comments, community discussions), advertising creative supplied by third-party networks, or content displayed inside embedded social posts (such as X/Twitter embeds), all of which originate outside our editorial process.

Our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Cookie Policy cover legal, data, and operational questions and should be read alongside this page.
