Abdul Samad scored 748 runs in 15 innings for Jammu and Kashmir last season. His average reached 57.53 across those matches. The figures placed him among the leading run-scorers in domestic cricket. The performance came in the season before his move to Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL. Samad delivered consistent scores through the campaign. He maintained a high average that reflected his ability to convert starts into substantial knocks. The Jammu and Kashmir middle-order batter used these numbers to secure his IPL contract.
