Abhishek Sharma hit a six in the first over of the second T20I against West Indies in Ranchi on Friday to take his tally to 14 sixes in the opening over of T20Is among full-member nations. He broke the joint record of 13 held by Paul Stirling and Evin Lewis.

Sharma scored 20 off 12 balls in the innings. India posted 249 for 5, their highest total against West Indies in T20Is.

That habit of taking on the new ball has been there in all 63 of his T20Is for India.
