Sudip Gharami and Abishek Porel scored unbeaten centuries to give Bengal a 64-run first-innings lead against Delhi on day two of their Ranji Trophy Group C match in Kalyani. Bengal reached 304 for three at stumps.

Gharami made 122 off 221 balls, while Porel scored 114 off 161 balls. The pair added an unbroken 199 runs after Bengal lost three wickets before lunch.

Porel, who recently spent 36 days in custody in an alleged rape case, waited 20 minutes on 99 before reaching his second first-class century. Gharami registered his third consecutive hundred at the venue.

CricHubb Take

Porel's century under personal duress shows that domestic cricket continues to function as both a professional and emotional outlet even when legal proceedings remain unresolved.
