Ben Stokes has signed a one-year contract to play the entire BBL|16 season for the Adelaide Strikers. The 35-year-old will join Tim Paine's squad after his international commitments finish.

Cricket Australia confirmed the deal on Monday. Stokes has turned out for the Strikers before, but only on short stints. This time it's different — a full campaign, the first since he stepped away from England duty.
