Australia beat South Africa by 45 runs under DLS in the rain-affected third ODI in Potchefstroom.
Australia won the third and final ODI against South Africa by 45 runs under the DLS method in Potchefstroom on Wednesday. Rain interrupted play after Australia posted 322 for nine, with South Africa reaching 145 for four in 28 overs when the match was called off.
Alex Carey scored 74 off 88 balls and Mitch Marsh made 56 off 42 balls for Australia. Ollie Peake added 48 runs. Adam Zampa took two for 34 and Xavier Bartlett claimed two for 25. Ryan Rickelton remained unbeaten on 71 for South Africa.
Pat Cummins returned for his first ODI in almost two years but did not captain the side. Mitch Marsh retained the captaincy. Mitchell Starc also came back into the XI while Nathan Ellis was ruled out with a side strain.
