Rashid Khan claimed his 200th T20I wicket and Afghanistan posted 221 for seven before winning by 19 runs to extend their winning streak over Zimbabwe to eight series.
Rashid Khan became the first bowler to take 200 T20I wickets when he dismissed Tadiwanashe Marumani for two runs at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Thursday. Afghanistan posted 221 for seven before bowling Zimbabwe out for 202 to win the match by 19 runs and secure an unassailable 2-0 series lead.
Azmatullah Omarzai scored 116 off 50 balls after Afghanistan had fallen to five for four, adding 142 runs for the sixth wicket with Ijaz Ahmadzai who made 52. Zimbabwe's reply was led by Sikandar Raza's unbeaten 106 off 56 balls, but they finished 19 runs short despite reaching 202 for five. Rashid reached the 200-wicket mark in his 120th T20I, while Afghanistan's total of 221 is their third-highest in the format.

Afghanistan's middle-order resilience continues to mask top-order fragility. Omarzai's century came after a collapse to five for four, yet the side still posted their third-highest T20I total and won comfortably, suggesting the depth of their batting may be more reliable than their early order.
