Aiden Markram plays down LSG captaincy speculation
Aiden Markram says he is not thinking about the Lucknow Super Giants captaincy and will accept whatever decision the franchise makes.
Aiden Markram has said he is not concerned about who will captain Lucknow Super Giants next season after Rishabh Pant's departure to Delhi Capitals. Markram and Mitchell Marsh are seen as the leading candidates for the role.
Markram told Cricinfo that he has no idea about the franchise's plans and is not fussed about the outcome. He is currently captaining Manchester Super Giants in The Hundred, where the team sits fifth after five matches.
Lucknow Super Giants finished last in the 2026 IPL. Markram scored 467 runs at a strike rate of 162.15 last season, while Marsh made 467 runs at 162.15.
