Rahane, who played 12 Tests for India between 2013 and 2023, has been involved in mentoring young players in Mumbai. The fund will support both playing and training facilities across the city's cricket grounds.
The MCA has not disclosed the fund's initial corpus or selection criteria for beneficiaries.
