Derbyshire have re-signed Pakistan spinner Mohammad Hasnain, known as Moqim, for the second half of the Vitality Blast. The move comes after leg-spinner Allah Ghazanfar was ruled out with injury.

Moqim's a familiar face — he's played for the county before and returns as their overseas spinner option. Derbyshire Falcons confirmed the signing on Friday.

At 26, he'll join the squad immediately and is expected to slot into upcoming Blast matches.

CricHubb Take

The question now is timing. Moqim arrives mid-tournament with no county conditioning; Derbyshire either trust his T20 nous or they're gambling that one overseas spinner in the knockout stages won't sink them.
