Angkrish Raghuvanshi returns to Mumbai Ranji squad after finger surgery
Angkrish Raghuvanshi is back in Mumbai's Ranji Trophy squad after IPL finger surgery.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi rejoined the Mumbai Ranji Trophy squad after recovering from finger surgery that sidelined him during the IPL. He scored 201 and 203 in under-23 matches while regaining form.
Raghuvanshi missed Mumbai's season opener because Yashasvi Jaiswal was available. He will play against Himachal Pradesh in Bilaspur from Sunday.
The wicketkeeper-batter made 422 runs in 13 IPL matches for Kolkata Knight Riders this season. Coach Abhishek Nayar kept him engaged with one-handed drills during rehabilitation.
CricHubb Take
Raghuvanshi's rapid return underlines how Mumbai can absorb long injury lay-offs because their top-order depth allows players to regain match fitness in the lower-profile formats without immediate selection pressure.
