Left-arm seamer Arshdeep Singh and Haryana pacer Anshul Kamboj have been named in the North Zone squad for the upcoming Duleep Trophy. Jammu and Kashmir wicketkeeper-batter Kanhaiya Wadhawan will captain the 15-member side with Delhi's Ayush Badoni as vice-captain.

The selectors rewarded Jammu and Kashmir with six players following their historic Ranji Trophy triumph. The squad also includes opener Qamran Iqbal, all-rounder Abdul Samad, left-arm spinner Abid Mushtaq, pacer Sunil Kumar and fast bowler Yudhvir Singh.

Delhi has the next highest representation with opener Sanat Sangwan, former skipper Yash Dhull, middle-order batter Ayush Doseja and Badoni. The tournament begins on August 23.

CricHubb Take

The inclusion of two white-ball specialists in a red-ball tournament shows selectors are willing to back players who can contribute across formats rather than waiting for traditional red-ball form.
