West Zone bowl North Zone out for 251 on Duleep opening day

West Zone dismissed North Zone for 251 on the opening day of their Duleep Trophy quarter-final. Ayush Badoni and Anshul Kamboj scored half-centuries, but the rest of the batting failed to convert starts.

West Zone reached 31 for two at stumps, still trailing by 220 runs. The bowlers exploited early movement to restrict scoring after the first hour.

North Zone will need early wickets on day two to prevent West Zone from building a substantial lead. The winner advances to the semi-finals.
