Thunderstorms are forecast for the series decider at the Chinnaswamy on Saturday.

The fifth and final T20I between India and West Indies will be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on October 17 with the series level at 2-2. The Indian Meteorological Department has forecast cloudy skies, thunderstorms and lightning warnings for match day.

India have added Bhuvneshwar Kumar to the squad after Arshdeep Singh suffered a shoulder injury in the fourth T20I. International cricket returns to the venue for the first time since the October 2024 Test against New Zealand.

Abhishek Nayar suggested India should consider bowling changes rather than batting alterations for the decider.

A washed-out or rain-shortened finale would leave both teams without a clear series winner and delay any selection conclusions drawn from the rubber.
