Ashutosh Sharma has moved from Railways to Gujarat for the 2026-27 domestic season. The 27-year-old is one of three guest players signed by the Gujarat Cricket Association alongside leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi and fast bowler Ashok Sharma.

Gujarat Cricket Association secretary Anil Patel said Ashutosh will strengthen the state’s white-ball campaign. He began his senior career with Madhya Pradesh before moving to Railways and has played in the IPL for Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals.

Gujarat will be coached by Monty Desai this season. The team begins its Ranji Trophy campaign against Odisha at the Narendra Modi Stadium on October 5.

CricHubb Take

Ashutosh’s arrival gives Gujarat a proven IPL finisher they’ve lacked in the middle order, but the bigger test will be whether the rest of the squad can match his hitting or whether he ends up carrying an unchanged lineup.
