Ayush Badoni scores second successive double century for Delhi

Badoni's second double century of the season keeps Delhi's promotion hopes alive despite the draw against Jharkhand.

Ayush Badoni scored a second successive double century as Delhi captain in their Ranji Trophy match against Jharkhand. The match ended in a draw after both sides completed their first innings.

Badoni's unbeaten knock followed his previous double century earlier in the season and kept Delhi competitive on a pitch offering little assistance to bowlers. The 25-year-old left-hander has now accumulated over 800 runs in the competition this season.

After the match Badoni said his long-term goal remains selection for the Indian team. Delhi will next face a strong Vidarbha side that recently secured an innings victory in Group A.

CricHubb Take

Badoni's consistency at this level strengthens his case for an India A call-up, yet his lack of first-class hundreds outside the capital raises questions about adaptability on varied surfaces.
