Jasprit Bumrah will miss India's five-match T20I series against West Indies starting Tuesday in Lucknow. The fast bowler is rested ahead of India's tour of New Zealand later this month.

Arshdeep Singh leads the pace attack with Mayank Yadav and Prince Yadav providing support. Mayank returns after injury setbacks while Prince has progressed from net bowler to international selection. India bowling coach Morne Morkel said the series offers valuable experience for the next generation of pacers.

Bumrah could play at least one unofficial Test for India A against New Zealand A from October 24 to November 10 as preparation for the two-Test series starting November 19. KL Rahul, Devdutt Padikkal, Rishabh Pant and B Sai Sudharsan are also expected to feature in the India A matches.

CricHubb Take

India's decision to rest Bumrah for T20Is while planning his India A participation shows a deliberate separation between white-ball workload management and red-ball preparation that previous generations never received.
