David Miller scored 93 off 55 balls on his NPL debut for Karnali Yaks at TU International Cricket Stadium on Friday. The 37-year-old, who arrived in Kathmandu on Wednesday morning, batted at number four after the team lost two wickets for 22 runs in the fourth over.

Karnali Yaks chased 177 against Sudurpaschim Royals but fell short by 39 runs. Karnali were 35 for three after the first powerplay. Deepak Dumre made 18, Pawan Sarraf 5, Hussain Talat 1, Sompal Kami 8 and Gulshan Kumar Jha 3. Miller received the player of the match award.

Miller said he entered at four because the management asked him to. Sompal Kami said Karnali need a change in attitude after the loss. Nandan Yadav said Miller taught the team how to bat on the wicket. Miller has scored 211 runs in 11 matches for Delhi Capitals in the 2026 IPL.
