Dushmantha Chameera named in Sri Lanka T20I squad for Pakistan series
Dushmantha Chameera returns to Sri Lanka's T20I squad for the Pakistan series, though his availability depends on fitness.
Sri Lanka have brought Dushmantha Chameera back into their T20I squad for the three-match series against Pakistan in October. Sineth Jayawardena and Vijayakanth Viyaskanth earned spots after strong domestic showings. The series forms part of their build-up to the 2026 T20 World Cup. Chameera hasn't played an international since recovering from a back injury that kept him out for most of 2025, so his participation hinges on fitness.

Chameera's recall forces Sri Lanka to decide how much they trust a bowler whose body has let him down before — and whether they can afford to carry him through a World Cup cycle that will test every fast bowler twice.
