India Women won by 270 runs at Lord's on the fourth day, completing their first Test victory at cricket's spiritual home. England were bowled out for 186 in their second innings after Sophie Ecclestone hit her first Test fifty—a small bright spot in a heavy defeat.

Tammy Beaumont and Heather Knight played their final international matches during the game. Sneh Rana finished it off with the last wicket.

The win came despite India playing Test cricket only rarely. Coach Amol Muzumdar credited disciplined batting and bowling for the result. The visitors showed that infrequent red-ball cricket doesn't have to mean rustiness—when the chance comes, they're ready to dominate it.

CricHubb Take

India's red-ball calendar is so sparse that one-off Tests become events rather than fixtures. The gap between assignments could work against them just as easily—and next time it might not.
