Conway praises Pakistan U-19 batter Sameer Minhas after PSL 2026
Conway singled out Sameer Minhas as a promising Pakistan U-19 batter after the teenager's strong PSL 2026 campaign.
New Zealand batter Devon Conway said Pakistan U-19 player Sameer Minhas is a standout talent among the younger generation of Pakistani cricketers in the PSL. Conway, who represented Islamabad United, told journalist Saj Sadiq that Minhas is a really classy right-handed batter full of talent.
Minhas scored three half-centuries in PSL 2026 and finished the league phase with an average of 38.77. He also accumulated 286 runs across four first-class matches at an average of 47.66, including three half-centuries. In T20 cricket, he has scored 373 runs at a strike rate of 151.01 across 13 matches.
Pakistan are looking for young batters to support Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan in the national team. Minhas was born in Multan and has yet to make his international debut.
CricHubb Take
Minhas's first-class average of 47.66 suggests he is already equipped for red-ball cricket, but his List A average of 13.25 remains the clearest gap between his T20 promise and his readiness for 50-over international cricket.
