Ambati Rayudu said Hardik Pandya felt cornered at Mumbai Indians and suggested he should give up IPL captaincy. Reports indicated Pandya was set to join Punjab Kings ahead of the IPL 2027 mini-auction. Reports also indicated Arshdeep Singh was set to join Mumbai Indians in the same proposed swap.

Aakash Chopra commented on the Hardik Pandya-Arshdeep Singh trade rumours. Punjab Kings were reportedly not the only franchise interested in Hardik Pandya. Franchises must submit retention lists by November 17 ahead of the IPL 2027 auction.

Hardik Pandya currently plays for Mumbai Indians. Arshdeep Singh currently plays for Punjab Kings.

CricHubb Take

If Hardik Pandya leaves Mumbai Indians, the franchise loses both a senior all-rounder and a leader, forcing a complete rethink of their 2027 strategy.
