Suryansh Shedge replaces Hardik Pandya in India A squad for Australia A ODIs
Suryansh Shedge steps in for injured Hardik Pandya in India A one-day squad.
Mumbai all-rounder Suryansh Shedge has been added to the India A squad after Hardik Pandya was ruled out with a right calf injury. An MRI scan confirmed mild right medial tibial stress syndrome. The three-match one-day series begins in Puducherry on October 6.
Shedge, 23, made his T20I debut this year and scored 147 runs across five matches for India A in Sri Lanka. His call-up means he will miss Mumbai's Ranji Trophy opener against Chandigarh on October 11. Jharkhand spinner Anukul Roy replaces Naman Dhir, who has joined India's T20I squad.
Hardik has not played an ODI since the Champions Trophy final in March 2025. The series was intended to test his ability to bowl 10 overs before India's ODI tour of New Zealand.
CricHubb Take
Shedge gains valuable 50-over exposure that could accelerate his path into the senior limited-overs setup.
