R Ashwin says Rajasthan Royals top list for Hardik Pandya trade
Ravichandran Ashwin names Rajasthan Royals as the most likely destination for Hardik Pandya ahead of possible trade talks.
Former India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin said Rajasthan Royals are the frontrunners to acquire Hardik Pandya if a trade materialises. Ashwin dismissed speculation linking Pandya with Chennai Super Kings despite reports that MS Dhoni might personally approach the all-rounder.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Ashwin described a move to CSK as a long shot. He said reports he had received indicated RR held the strongest position in any potential deal.
Mumbai Indians recently confirmed the departure of head coach Mahela Jayawardene after two seasons. The franchise faces a November 15 retention deadline ahead of the IPL auction.

Ashwin's assessment suggests franchise interest is driven more by Pandya's on-field value than by any personal relationship with incoming coaching staff.
