Hardik Pandya in advanced talks to move from Mumbai Indians to Punjab Kings
Hardik Pandya is reportedly in advanced talks to join Punjab Kings from Mumbai Indians in exchange for Arshdeep Singh and Vishnu Vinod. Aakash Chopra questioned the fit for Punjab Kings.
The IPL 2027 mini auction is scheduled after the November 17 retention deadline. Hardik Pandya is in advanced talks to move from Mumbai Indians to Punjab Kings, according to Aakash Chopra. Arshdeep Singh and Vishnu Vinod are reportedly part of the proposed trade to Mumbai Indians.
Punjab Kings want Hardik Pandya in exchange for Arshdeep Singh and Vishnu Vinod. Chopra questioned how Punjab Kings would use multiple all-rounders if the trade occurs, given they already have Azmatullah Omarzai, Marco Jansen, Marcus Stoinis and Suryansh Shedge. He also said Punjab Kings' bowling weakness would worsen if Arshdeep Singh leaves.
Rajasthan Royals are also reportedly interested in acquiring Hardik Pandya. Chopra said the proposed deal could start other trades because several wires are linked together.
CricHubb Take
If Punjab Kings lose Arshdeep Singh to complete the Hardik Pandya trade, their bowling attack loses its most reliable death-over option at a time when the franchise already struggles with pace resources. The addition of another all-rounder would further crowd an already stacked middle order without solving the primary weakness.
