Harpreet Brar took seven for 56 as Punjab dismissed Chhattisgarh for 206 on day two. Punjab had already posted 456, so the follow-on decision was straightforward.

Uday Saharan scored 161 and Salil Arora made 107. Dharmendrasinh Jadeja took seven for 173 in reply.

Chhattisgarh reached 123 for three in their second innings at stumps on day three, still 127 behind. Punjab will bowl again on the final day on a surface that is drying out.
