Ishan Kishan scored an unbeaten 80 from 46 balls to guide India to 169 for seven against Sri Lanka in the Asian Games men's cricket semifinal on Thursday. India won by 124 runs and will face Pakistan in the gold medal match on Saturday.
Kishan hit four fours and five sixes on a turning pitch, rescuing India after early wickets fell to spin. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi made 38 from 21 balls before being caught at short third man. Jasprit Bumrah took two wickets as Sri Lanka were bowled out for 45 in 9.5 overs.
Kishan said playing for India at the Asian Games brings different pressure and motivation. He said the team is not thinking too far ahead and will focus on the final.
