Ishan Kishan was ruled out of India's third T20I against New Zealand after sustaining a low-grade right adductor strain. The wicketkeeper-batter picked up the injury while fielding in the first match of the series.

Kumar Kushagra was added to the squad as a replacement for the second T20I. Ishan is India's highest run-scorer in T20Is this year.

The third match is scheduled for Sky Stadium in Wellington on Tuesday. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is also expected to be dropped after conceding 99 runs across his two appearances.

CricHubb Take

India's middle-order depth will be tested again if Ishan remains unavailable for the ODIs that follow the T20I series.
