'India not doing justice to Abhishek Sharma' — Yuvraj Singh

Yuvraj Singh called for Abhishek Sharma to feature regularly in India's ODI side. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was dropped for the fourth T20I.

Yuvraj Singh said India is not doing justice to the talent of Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi by not selecting them regularly for ODIs. He credited Abhishek's rapid scoring to hard work and said he would love to see him in the 50-over side.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was dropped for the fourth T20I against New Zealand while Mayank Yadav replaced Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the Indian XI. Sanath Jayasuriya said the teenager should play his natural game and called him a good investment for the future.

Abhishek considers Yuvraj his mentor. The pair exchanged messages after Abhishek's half-century in 15 balls against New Zealand.

CricHubb Take

Yuvraj's intervention lands at the precise moment when India must decide whether to fast-track three power-hitters who have already rewritten IPL records or continue with the established middle order that has produced consistent but slower accumulation.
