Morne Morkel says India has bulletproof plan for bowlers' workload management

Morne Morkel confirmed India has prepared a workload management plan with backup bowlers retained for the two-Test series against New Zealand.

India bowling coach Morne Morkel laid out the workload plan on Monday: five T20Is, five ODIs and two Tests starting 19 November, with a reserve group of bowlers kept on hand. Arshdeep Singh is still in the mix for red-ball cricket. Some seamers have already played India A matches to sharpen their skills for the longer format, and others will rotate through the ODIs for match practice.

The plan was drawn up months ago. Every bowler knows his expected load, and the staff has ready-made combinations for all three formats, including Jasprit Bumrah.
