Jasprit Bumrah must pass a fitness test before India's T20I series against Afghanistan after participating in match simulations this week.
Jasprit Bumrah will undergo a fitness test before India's three-match T20I series against Afghanistan, which begins on 13 September. The BCCI has included the fast bowler in the squad subject to clearance from the Centre of Excellence.
Bumrah and three other players will participate in match simulations between 4 and 9 September. Harshit Rana, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar are also awaiting fitness clearance.
Prince Yadav has emerged as a potential backup option if Bumrah is ruled out. The pacer is expected to feature in the Afghanistan series if he passes the required tests.
