Jofra Archer produced the fastest opening spell of his Test career and finished with three wickets as England dismissed Pakistan for 110 on day two of the second Test at Lord's. Ollie Robinson took four for 11 as the pair combined to take five wickets for 19 runs in seven overs against the lower order. England had reached 290 in their first innings and lead by 180 runs.
Archer averaged 90.7 mph with the ball and dismissed Shan Masood for one early in Pakistan's innings. The 29-year-old said he could play until he is 40 thanks to the support of England's new-look pace quartet. Robinson's four-wicket haul helped England take firm control of the match.
Rain restricted play on day three to 25 overs, leaving England at 177 for seven in their second innings with a lead of 357 runs. The visitors face an uphill task to avoid a series defeat.
