England rest Jos Buttler and Jofra Archer for Pakistan ODI tri-series
England named a 16-member squad without Buttler and Archer for the ODI tri-series against Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
England have left out injured wicketkeeper-batter Jos Buttler and rested fast bowler Jofra Archer from the ODI tri-series in Pakistan. Buttler sustained a hamstring injury during the second ODI against Sri Lanka and will miss the double round-robin tournament that begins on October 18. Archer is being rested as part of workload management following a busy summer. Adil Rashid and Sam Curran have returned to the squad after recovering from injuries, while leg-spinner Mason Crane received his first international call-up in nine years. The 16-member squad will also feature Sri Lanka, with the final scheduled for October 31.
