Australia all-rounder Cameron Green is recovering from an abdominal injury but remains uncertain for the second Test against South Africa starting in Gqeberha on Sunday. Coach Andrew McDonald said Green has a few fitness assessments to complete over the next three or four days. Green missed the opening Test in Durban, which Australia won by 214 runs.

Reserve wicketkeeper Josh Inglis has rejoined the squad after recovering from a fractured finger sustained in the first ODI. Inglis missed the first Test and has resumed net sessions ahead of the Gqeberha match. McDonald said Inglis will undergo further assessments including bat-versus-ball sessions.

All-rounder Cooper Connolly could also come into contention after missing the Durban Test due to a head cold. Australia leads the three-match series 1-0 and aims to take an unassailable 2-0 lead.

CricHubb Take

Australia's batting order remains fluid with multiple players returning from injury. The team must decide whether to retain the same XI or integrate Green and Inglis into the lineup.
