Rabada returns as South Africa make three changes for second Test
South Africa bring back Kagiso Rabada and make three changes for the second Test against Australia at St George's Park.
Kagiso Rabada will return for South Africa's second Test against Australia at St George's Park after recovering from a hamstring injury. Captain Temba Bavuma confirmed Rabada has completed rehabilitation and bowled at full capacity in training. The hosts have also recalled Matthew Breetzke and uncapped Marques Ackerman while dropping Tristan Stubbs and Kyle Verreynne.
Ryan Rickelton will keep wickets and may move down the order after opening in Durban. Keshav Maharaj and Simon Harmer are competing for the spinner's role after both struggled in the first Test. Anrich Nortje is also available despite concerns over his workload following 40 overs in Durban.
Australia captain Pat Cummins said Rabada's presence would boost the South African attack. Rabada has taken 58 wickets at 21.39 against Australia in 11 Tests. The second Test starts on Sunday with rain forecast for the first two days.
CricHubb Take
Rabada's return gives South Africa their most potent weapon against Australia, but the batting changes suggest they are still searching for the right combination after conceding a 214-run defeat in Durban.
