The BCCI has assured that Indian cricket teams will receive the best available facilities at the 2026 Asian Games in Japan. Board secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed there are no pressing concerns about accommodation arrangements. The men's team will be coached by VVS Laxman while Amol Muzumdar leads the women's side.

The board is making separate arrangements for three net bowlers at Laxman's request. Mayank Yadav, Kartik Tyagi and Mohsin Khan will provide bowling support during the tournament. India will defend their T20 titles in both men's and women's events.

The Japan Cricket Association has confirmed quality hotel facilities for all participating teams. The cricket events are scheduled between 24 September and 3 October.

CricHubb Take

The deployment of three specialist net bowlers signals the BCCI's intent to treat the Asian Games as a serious competitive assignment rather than a developmental outing.
