Karun Nair scores 155 as Karnataka draw with Andhra
Karun Nair's 155 helped Karnataka force a draw after trailing by 144 runs on the first innings against Andhra.
Karun Nair scored 155 off 242 balls in Karnataka's second innings, then watched his side declare at 337 for nine. That left Andhra a target of 194 at Vijayawada on Wednesday.
Karnataka had managed just eight in their first innings and trailed by 144 overall, so the turnaround rested on Nair's knock — his 27th first-class hundred.
Andhra reached 51 for none in the chase, S V Rahul 35 not out and Revanth Reddy 20 not out, before rain settled the result. Karnataka took one point, Andhra three.

Nair's hundred came after an eight-ball duck in the first innings; if he can keep producing runs from such thin starts, selectors may feel more confident slotting him straight into the middle order for the upcoming Tests.
