Bengal beat Delhi by nine wickets in Ranji Trophy opener
Bengal's spinners and openers secured a nine-wicket victory in the Ranji Trophy opener.
Bengal relied on its spinners' combined yield of seven wickets and its openers' brisk chase to record a nine-wicket win over Delhi at the Bengal Cricket Academy ground on Wednesday.
Delhi posted 277 in their second innings, setting Bengal a target of 89. Abhimanyu Easwaran and Ankur Paul finished the chase in 15.3 overs after Aamir Gani and Pradipta Pramanik took four and three wickets respectively.
Ayush Badoni top-scored for Delhi with 85, but three quick wickets after the break left the visitors short of a defendable total.

The result shows Bengal's spin depth remains a decisive advantage even when the top-order pacers are away with India A.
