Karun Nair's 155 not out helps Karnataka draw with Andhra
Karun Nair's unbeaten 155 helped Karnataka salvage a draw after Andhra took a first-innings lead.
Karun Nair was 34 when he walked out needing to bat long. He stayed 242 balls for an unbeaten 155 — his 27th first-class hundred — and Karnataka declared at 337 for nine.
They'd lost captain R. Smaran early on the final morning, so the target they set Andhra was 194 in 45 overs. Andhra finished at 104 for four, S.V. Rahul 35 not out, Revanth Reddy 20 not out.
Andhra took three points for the first-innings lead. Karnataka got one.

Nair’s hundred buys Karnataka time, but the bigger question is whether he can keep doing this on flatter tracks where the bowlers have less help — because the state side still hasn’t found anyone else who can anchor an innings when the top order goes early.
