Jammu and Kashmir pacer Auqib Nabi received his maiden India cap from KL Rahul before the second ODI against West Indies.
Auqib Nabi received his debut cap from senior statesman KL Rahul during the team huddle before the second ODI against West Indies in Guwahati. The pacer was greeted with warm hugs from his teammates on the special moment.
Nabi is the 265th player to represent India in ODIs and the third from Jammu and Kashmir after Parvez Rasool and Umran Malik. He has taken 170 wickets in 45 first-class matches at an average of 18.88 and played a key role in Jammu and Kashmir's first Ranji Trophy title in 2025-26.
Nabi was named in India's squad for the Test series against Sri Lanka last month but did not play. He replaced Nitish Kumar Reddy in the playing XI after the all-rounder was dropped following the first ODI.
