Krunal Pandya posted 'Hope is still alive' on social media after being left out of India's squad for the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan. The all-rounder has made 130 runs at an average of 65.00 and a strike rate of 101.56 in five matches this season.

The post included a fingers-crossed emoji and the Indian flag. Krunal did not directly refer to his omission, but the message was widely viewed as indicating he has not given up on his India ambitions.

India named a 15-member squad with Sanju Samson returning and four players subject to fitness clearance.

CricHubb Take

The real question is whether Krunal can force his way back into the T20 side when the next squad is picked for a tougher opponent.
