Krunal Pandya to captain India at Hong Kong Sixes after Bhuvneshwar call-up
Krunal Pandya will captain India at the Hong Kong Sixes after Bhuvneshwar Kumar's recall to the national T20I squad.
Krunal Pandya will lead India's seven-member squad at the Hong Kong Sixes 2026 after Bhuvneshwar Kumar received a call-up for the tour of New Zealand. The tournament runs from October 30 to November 1. Kulwant Khejroliya replaces Bhuvneshwar in the squad.
The side includes Shashank Singh, Rahul Tewatia, Nitish Rana, Rahul Tripathi and T Natarajan. All seven players have IPL experience. Bhuvneshwar's recall ends a four-year absence from India's T20I side.
Anuraag Bhatnagar, Director of Commercial and Marketing at Cricket Hong Kong, said the organisers are delighted to see Bhuvneshwar return to international cricket and hope he features in future editions of the tournament.

Bhuvneshwar's recall shows the selectors' willingness to reintegrate experienced players ahead of the T20I series in New Zealand. Krunal's captaincy provides continuity for a squad drawn from multiple IPL franchises.
