CSK and SRH complete four-player swap before retention window closes
CSK received Liam Livingstone and Jack Edwards while SRH added Khaleel Ahmed and Nathan Ellis in a pre-deadline swap.
Chennai Super Kings acquired Liam Livingstone and Jack Edwards from Sunrisers Hyderabad on Wednesday. The BCCI announced the exchange that sent Livingstone to CSK for INR 6 crore and Edwards for INR 3 crore. SRH received Khaleel Ahmed and Nathan Ellis in return at their existing fees of INR 4.8 crore and INR 2 crore.
Livingstone had joined SRH earlier for INR 13 crore. Edwards missed the entire IPL 2026 season after suffering a foot injury and has not appeared in any matches. Khaleel Ahmed previously played for SRH in 2018 and 2021 before taking 15 wickets in 14 matches for CSK in IPL 2025. A right quadriceps injury restricted him to five matches this season.
Nathan Ellis also moved at his existing fee of INR 2 crore. Both franchises completed the trade before the retention window closed.
