Virat Kohli names 2013 Champions Trophy final as best ODI knock

Kohli picked his Champions Trophy final innings as his standout ODI knock while reflecting on his T20 World Cup record and IPL centuries for RCB.

Virat Kohli called his 43 in the 2013 Champions Trophy final his best ODI knock. He's scored over 28,600 international runs.

For RCB he's made nine IPL centuries, with 109 off 55 against Gujarat Lions in May 2016 and 113 not out off 72 against Rajasthan Royals in April 2024.

He's also the only player to win T20 World Cup Player of the Tournament twice, with 15 fifty-plus scores in the tournament. The standout knocks: 72 not out against South Africa in the 2014 semi-final, 82 not out against Australia in 2016, and 82 not out against Pakistan in 2022.

CricHubb Take

The fact that Kohli rates a 43 in a low-scoring final above his nine IPL hundreds suggests the IPL's glamour numbers still carry less weight for him than winning a global final — something worth watching when the next mega-tournament comes around.
