India will begin their 2027 ODI World Cup campaign against defending champions Australia on October 7 in Cape Town. The Men in Blue face Pakistan four days later on October 10 in Johannesburg. Both matches form part of Group A, which also includes Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and one qualifier.

The 14-team tournament runs from October 2 to November 21 across South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. India will also play Afghanistan on October 14 in Tshwane and Zimbabwe on October 24 in Victoria Falls. The top three teams from each group advance to the Super 7 stage along with the best fourth-placed side.

The semifinals are scheduled for November 17 in Cape Town and November 18 in Centurion, with the final set for November 21 at the Wanderers in Johannesburg. Namibia will host three preliminary qualifiers but must itself qualify for the main tournament.

CricHubb Take

The expanded 14-team format and preliminary qualifiers mean India cannot afford an early slip if they want to control their Super 7 seeding.
