Gautam Gambhir tells Mayank Yadav to bowl fast and not rely on variations
Gambhir praises Mayank Yadav for returning to raw pace and taking three wickets in Ranchi.
Gautam Gambhir said Mayank Yadav should bowl at full pace rather than mixing slower deliveries after the young pacer took three wickets in the second T20I against West Indies. Mayank dismissed Kamil Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer and Rovman Powell with deliveries above 140 kmph.
Gambhir said a fast bowler has a responsibility to bowl fast when capable of 150 kmph. Mayank had experimented with slower balls in the series opener and was expensive.
Mayank also dropped a catch during the match. Gambhir said fielders will drop catches and the focus should remain on his primary skill.

By publicly endorsing raw pace over variations, Gambhir is signalling that India's T20I attack will be built around genuine speed rather than mystery.
