Morkel excited to see Mayank Yadav's pace in first T20I
Morne Morkel said he is excited to see Mayank Yadav's pace in the first T20I against West Indies.
India bowling coach Morne Morkel is counting the days until Mayank Yadav bowls again. The young quick returns to international cricket in Lucknow on October 6 after almost two years out with injuries.
Morkel singled out Mayank's raw pace as his biggest weapon and praised Prince Yadav for the grind that took him from net bowler to his first India cap. Both have kept their heads through the setbacks, he said.
Working with players in short bursts is the new reality for Morkel. The packed calendar and rotation policy mean neither Mayank nor Prince got a look-in at the Asian Games, where India beat Pakistan for gold.

Morkel is already thinking about how to keep two raw quicks sharp when they only get occasional windows together — the real test will be whether India can give them enough overs in the middle before the next big tournament.
