New Zealand named a 16-member squad for the five-match T20I series against India on September 30. Mitchell Santner will lead the team. Rachin Ravindra was ruled out after dislocating his right shoulder and requires at least six weeks of rehabilitation.

Thirteen members from the squad that reached the T20 World Cup final will feature, including Michael Bracewell and Adam Milne, who both missed the tournament through injury. Bevon Jacobs was added as Ravindra's replacement.

The series begins on October 22 at Hagley Oval in Christchurch. New Zealand's squad includes seven pacers: Jacob Duffy, Matt Henry, Lockie Ferguson, Kyle Jamieson, Adam Milne, Nathan Smith and Zak Foulkes.

Santner's appointment confirms New Zealand's preference for a spin-led attack in home conditions even after the T20 World Cup final loss to India.
