New Zealand Cricket announced a 21-player squad for the five-match ODI series against India that begins on November 4 in Auckland. Mitchell Santner will captain the side, which includes Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Devon Conway, Jacob Duffy, Matt Henry, Kyle Jamieson, Tom Latham, Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, Rachin Ravindra, Nathan Smith, Blair Tickner and Will Young for the first three matches.

Rachin Ravindra returns from a shoulder injury for the opening three ODIs. Finn Allen, Lockie Ferguson and Tim Seifert have been added for the final two matches after prioritising T20 leagues. Seven players will join the squad for games four and five.

Santner, Bracewell, Chapman, Duffy, Young and Tickner are the only players available for the entire series. Several members of the first three games will leave after the third ODI to prepare for the two-Test series that follows.

The rotation plan lets New Zealand test fringe white-ball options while protecting frontline Test players ahead of the two-match series starting November 19.
