Mitchell Starc says IPL 2027 availability remains uncertain
Starc says no decision yet on IPL 2027 amid clash with packed Australia Test schedule.
Mitchell Starc confirmed ongoing discussions about his IPL 2027 participation but said nothing is concrete yet. The left-arm pacer is contracted to Delhi Capitals, who paid Rs 11.75 crore for him at the 2024 mega auction.
Australia's packed Test calendar includes a five-Test tour of India from January 21 to March 3, 2027, followed by a one-off 150th Anniversary Test against England. Head coach Andrew McDonald said final decisions on IPL availability will be made at the back end of the India tour.
Starc played only six matches for Delhi Capitals in the 2026 season due to injury.

The uncertainty over Starc's participation exposes the growing tension between a 14-team IPL and a congested international calendar that now squeezes all white-ball and red-ball commitments into the same six-month window.
